NEET UG 2024 SC Hearing Live

NEET UG 2024 SC Hearing Live: The Supreme Court meets and the hearing on the anomalies in the NEET UG exam starts.

Live Supreme Court Hearing for NEET UG 2024: Today, the Supreme Court of India commenced hearing several petitions about purported anomalies in the execution of NEET UG 2024, the entrance examination for undergraduate medical programmes.

Due to allegations of paper leaks and other irregularities, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is under criticism about the integrity of several of its national-level admission tests, including NEET UG.

Judges J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra, as well as Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud, will be on the bench to hear the matter. They will be considering 38 petitions pertaining to the exam.

According to The Times of India, in separate papers submitted to the Supreme Court, the NTA and the central government stated that they were reluctant to reschedule and retake the exam.

According to the NTA, "The cancellation of the entire examination on the basis of the aforesaid factor would be hugely counterproductive and significantly harmful to the larger public interest, especially to the career prospects of the qualified candidates."
